Hello everyone! I am Zeynep Yeşildağ, an ELT student in Marmara University who is in love with the space and old-school science fiction. For "Instructional Technologies and Material Design in English Language Teaching" class, as we are required to have blogs for ourselves, I have decided to create a Star Trek themed blog where I'm the captain of Starship Enterprise. How to Read "Stardate": The "Stardate" I use in this blog is not the official way to use it. Instead, I use the actual date of the day that I make the posts. Let me give you an example: It's in month/day/year format, so on 19th of March of 2025, it should be something like 3192025 (03-19-2025), but there's a catch to make it seem more like an actual Stardate. 2025 (the year this blog was created) is actually the only year that is a square number that my generation will ever see, which is number 45 squared. so instead of 2025, I use 45.2 as the year. Combine everything and you have 31945.2 (03-19-45^2). Now you know.
