Farewell...

We have finally made it to the end of the semester. I'm pleasantly surprised that I have made it this far without any crashouts to be honest because this semester was absolutely BRUTAL. Not just this course, but every single class I took required so many things like assignments, presentations, quizzes... I feel completely exhausted and I am just trying to get through the finals week. But for now, let's look at what we have done for this class during this semester.

1. What are the strengths and/or weaknesses of the course?

This course, just like ICT, had so many things to offer. But, again just like ICT, I was already familiar with all of the technologies we have talked about. Even though everybody else in my class probably had a good time with the assignments and learned many new things that they could incorporate into their teaching in the future, I was just bored most of the time.

2. What did you find easy or difficult about the course?

The assignments were fairly easy but with everything else I had to do each week, I just felt like I was suffocating. I just want my life as a student to be over so that I will not be constantly judged and evaluated by a teacher anymore.

3. What was your most and least favourite task?

I think my most favorite task was the flipped teaching video because especially with my friends it was actually fun to work on, maybe the only fun task I've had throughout this semester, throughout any of the classes I've had. And my least favorite was the AI-enhanced CBLP, it was just painful especially when I had not completely figured out how to prepare an ASSURE lesson plan yet. Not to mention that I feel sick whenever I hear the words "ASSURE lesson plan" at this point. :D

4.  What would you tell to the students who would take this course next year?

I told my friends that are in their 2nd year to find a solid group to do the assignments with because you may even fail this class if you have "bad teammates" as every single task was a group assignment.

5. How would this course contribute to your professional development?

I have no idea on how honest I am allowed to be for this question. Let's just say that I hope that if I ever become a BİLSEM teacher, I will get to use the things I have learned in this course. And I also hope that my other friends who want to work at private schools will be able to use them as well.

So, I guess that's it. Goodbye.

This blog will be terminated by February, 2026.
